The project consisted of a new residence located in Oxbow, Tallahassee, Florida for a professional couple, each with very specific and unique tastes and preferences that dictated house's modern architectural style. It was cited carefully in a wooded site with a gentle slope because of the Owners’ love for nature and the existing site’s flora, in addition to their need for accessibility without level changes, accessed from a circular drive and walk through a lighted fountain into a covered porch protecting the main doorway.  

The house was designed as a backdrop for the exhibition of the Owners art collection, for function, for energy efficiency and for privacy around an exterior paved courtyard. The house was divided into the following spaces: Entry Foyer, Living , Library (with a chimney), Gallery, Dining, Kitchen, Pantry, Powder Room, Exercise Room, Laundry, Utility, Pet Washing Area, Master Bedroom, Second Bedroom and Guest Bedroom, all three with their full Bathrooms and Closets, a three car Garage and a Wood Shop area. The second Bedroom included a Kitchenette for convenience. The courtyard is defined by an exterior hot tub and a vented cooking stove/grill.  An emergency generator was included to keep the Second Bedroom,  its full Bathroom and Kitchenette operational during power outages.  Insulation with high values were installed in the roof and exterior walls. Plumbing, mechanical, electrical and security systems were designed using sophisticated fixtures and components. Brick, insulated glass on painted hollow metal frames and glass block were used to finish exterior walls and asphalt shingles to finish the roof.
