The Greyhound project consisted of an exterior and interior architectural renovation to an existing and operating two-story terminal. Located at 112 West Tennessee Street, the Greyhound terminal was in dire need of repairs and was an eye sore to many citizens, visitors and students. But through the collaboration of RJGA and Gary Gargus Architects, we were able to bring life back into a building that most people expected to be demolished.
The exterior facelift concealed an outdated façade with metal siding and Italian granite tile. Completely transforming the appearance of the terminal, but still preserving the architectural features that made this building special. The interior saw a complete make over of all areas including the kitchen, serving area, cafeteria, game room, baggage area, men’s and women’s restrooms, and driver’s sleeping quarters located in the second floor. Special thanks to Gary Gargus and his staff. |
